COLBY GIRLS BASKETBALL SLIPS PAST GILMAN IN BATTLE OF CLOVERBELT EAST UNBEATENS

COLBY – Lexi Krebsbach made five 3-pointers to finish with a team-high 15 points to help Colby down Gilman 53-50 in a battle of Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball leaders on Tuesday night at Colby High School.


Colby is now 4-1 overall and 4-0 in the Cloverbelt East after handing Gilman (2-1 overall and Cloverbelt East) its first loss of the season.


Hailey Voelker added 11 points and six rebounds, and Olivia Vollrath had nine points and eight rebounds for the Hornets.


Grace Grunseth scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half for the Pirates, who trailed 27-20 at halftime before closing the game just short.


Colby hosts Loyal on Friday.
