COLBY GIRLS BASKETBALL EARNS ROAD PLAYOFF WIN AT PRINCETON/GREEN LAKE

PRINCETON – No. 9 seed Colby went on the road and grabbed a playoff victory as it outlasted No. 8 seed Princeton/Green Lake 63-58 in a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal Wednesday at Princeton High School.


The game was tied at 21-21 at halftime before the Hornets erupted for a 42-point second half to pull out the victory.


Hayden Willner had 18 points and Angelique Hernandez added 11 for Colby (8-15).


Colby moves on to a Division 4 regional semifinal at No. 1 seed Westfield (23-1) on Friday at 7 p.m.
