PITTSVILLE TAKES FIFTH, AMHERST SIXTH AT CWC WRESTLING TOURNAMENT

PITTSVILLE – Pittsville freshman Racyn Schooley won the 113-pound title at the Central Wisconsin Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Pittsville High School.
Schooley pinned Muluken Rucks of Weyauwega-Fremont in 2:29 to win the championship match at 113 pounds and improve to 23-6 this season.
Schooley was won of four Panthers to earn top-four finishes at the tournament as Pittsville took fifth place with 114.5 points.
Shiocton won the team title with 248 points, with Wittenberg-Birnamwood second with 224 and Weyauwega-Fremont third with 176. Amherst finished sixth with 90 points.
Dryden Luther took third at 120, and Hunter McDaniel (152) and Brad Neve (220) each finished fourth for Pittsville.
Amherst had five top-four finishes led by sophomore Lia Peterson, who finished second at 106 pounds after losing the championship match to Jaxon Bogacz of Bonduel, 4-3.
Ryan Warzynski (113), Ephraim Anglemeyer (160), and Colton Jakubek (182) each finished third, and Hunter Biadasz took fourth at 195 for Amherst.
Amherst will compete at the WIAA Division 2 regional at Wautoma and Pittsville will take part in the Division 3 regional at Auburndale next Saturday, Feb. 12.
