NEILLSVILLE SLAMS LOYAL, TAKES CLOVERBELT EAST CROWN

LOYAL, WI - The Neillsville Warriors baseball team claimed its first outright Cloverbelt East championship since 2014 with a convincing 12-1 win over Loyal on Friday night.
In the win, Andrew Brown went three-for-three from the plate with three runs batted in and scored three times. Jonah Zoschke also had three runs batted in for the Warriors.
Neillsville pitcher Sam Hayes picked up the 10 run-rule shortened game win in five innings, striking out nine and giving up just three Loyal hits.
Matt Szymanski had the lone Loyal RBI in the fourth inning, scoring Drew Stieglitz.
Neillsville is the #3 seed in D3 sectional three, Group B and will play #6 seed Necedah at home on Thursday, June 10th.
