MOSINEE – Jaeger Dhein scored four times and assisted on two others, and Toren Holtz had three goals and three assists as the Mosinee boys soccer team dominated Merrill in an 10-2 win in nonconference action Monday at Edgewood Park.


Thomas Miller scored just two minutes into the game on an assist from Dhein to give the Indians a quick 1-0 lead.


Mosinee scored four times in a span of five minutes. Toren Holtz scored, Dhein added a goal just 15 seconds later, and scored two more over the next four minutes as the Indians grabbed command with a 5-0 lead.


Dhein added another goal on an assist from Grant Kuklinski in the 31st minute and Garrett Donohue scored with a laser shot from on top of the penalty area.


Dhein assisted Toren Holtz on another goal to give Mosinee an 8-1 lead at halftime.


Kuklinski and Toren Holtz added goals in the second half to finish the scoring for Mosinee (7-4), which held a 22-2 shot advantage.


Mosinee returns to the pitch with a Great Northern Conference game vs. Northland Pines on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Edgewood Park.
