ATHENS BOYS BASKETBALL OUTLASTS PRENTICE IN OVERTIME

PRENTICE – Four Athens players scored in double figures as it defeated Prentice 69-67 in overtime in a Marawood Conference North Division matchup Friday night at Prentice High School.
Prentice overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to tie it and force overtime before Athens outscored them 6-4 to earn the victory.
Kody Lepak had 19 points, Cooper Diedrich added 18, Connor Sheahan had 17, and Aiden Janke had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Athens, which remains in first place in the Marawood North as it improves to 11-2 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
Athens hosts Spencer for a nonconference game Monday.
