WILD ROSE GIRLS BASKETBALL DOWNS ALMOND-BANCROFT FOR 10TH WIN IN A ROW

ALMOND – The Wild Rose girls basketball team maintained its undefeated record in the Central Wisconsin Conference South Division with a 57-42 win over Almond-Bancroft on Tuesday night at Almond-Bancroft High School.
Laney Havlovitz scored all 23 of her points in the first half, and Orria Wood had nine of her 18 in the second half for Wild Rose, which improves to 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the CWC South after winning its 10th game in a row.
Mikala Seymour led Almond-Bancroft (10-8, 4-4 CWC South) with 10 points. The Eagles finished just 4-for-17 at the free throw line in the loss.
Both teams return to CWC South action Friday with Almond-Bancroft traveling to Rosholt and Wild Rose heading to Port Edwards. Both games start at 6 p.m.
