WILD ROSE – Wild Rose jumped on Tri-County from the start and rolled to a 63-16 win in a WIAA Division 5 girls basketball regional quarterfinal Wednesday at Wild Rose High School.


No. 2 seed Wild Rose (21-1), winners of 19-straight games, will host No. 10 seed Almond-Bancroft (16-9) in a D-5 regional semifinal Friday at 7 p.m. Almond-Bancroft upset No. 7 seed Stevens Point Pacelli 36-15 on Wednesday.


Wild Rose ran out to a 40-12 lead by halftime and held the Penguins to just four points in the second half to finish off the victory.


Laney Havlovitz scored 21 points and Cali Havlovitz added 11 for the Wildcats.


Braelyn Pionke led Tri-County (5-18) with eight points.
