WABENO/LAONA SENDS ROSHOLT BOYS BASKETBALL TO FIRST LOSS

ROSHOLT – Wabeno/Laona opened up a big lead by halftime and went on to defeat Rosholt 70-39 in a nonconference boys basketball game Monday at Rosholt High School.

Wabeno/Laona pulled out to a 40-18 lead by halftime and were able to cruise from there to improve to 2-2 this season.

Connor Taylor had 24 points and Reed Christianson added 21 for Wabeno/Laona.

Rosholt shot just 31 percent (15-for-46) in the loss. Eli Trzinski led the Hornets (1-1) with 15 points.

Rosholt hosts Suring for another nonconference game on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
