PACELLI GIRLS TENNIS POWERS PAST MEDFORD

MEDFORD – The Pacelli girls tennis team remained perfect in Great Northern Conference dual meets this season after a 6-1 win over Medford on Thursday at Medford High School.


The Cardinals swept the four singles matches and took the top two flights in doubles to move its record to 4-0 in the GNC this fall.


Amanda Lansing pulled out a thriller at No. 3 singles for Pacelli, defeating Makayla Motte in a pair of tiebreakers 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5).


Alaina Sbonik came back from a set down to topple Christine Czeshinski 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (3) at No. 4 singles for the Cardinals.


Pacelli hosts Wausau Newman Catholic on Tuesday.
