MOSINEE BOYS BASKETBALL CLINCHES SHARE OF GNC TITLE WITH WIN OVER NORTHLAND PINES

MOSINEE – Davin Stoffel scored 13 of his game-high 21 points in the second half and had three dunks in the game to lead the Mosinee boys basketball to a big Great Northern Conference win as it defeated Northland Pines 75-62 on Tuesday at Mosinee High School.

The win clinches at least a share of the GNC title for Mosinee, which is now 19-1 overall and a perfect 10-0 in the conference.


Mosinee made 11 3-pointers in the game, six in the second half, as it pushed a seven-point halftime lead to 13 by the end.


Keagen Jirschele added 15 points and Drake Grod had 12, both finishing with three 3-pointers, for the Indians.


Nolan Lurvey scored 17 points and Ryan Muench added 15 for Northland Pines (13-4, 6-2 Great Northern Conference).


Mosinee plays a nonconference game at Merrill on Friday.
