IOLA-SCANDAVIA GIRLS BASKETBALL HANDS PACELLI ITS FIRST LOSS

IOLA – Iola-Scandinavia handed the Stevens Point Pacelli girls basketball team its first loss of the season, winning 31-23 in a nonconference matchup Tuesday at Iola-Scandinavia High School.


Clara Kloes had eight points to lead the Thunderbirds (7-2).


Pacelli (6-1) made just five field goals in the loss. Hannah Trzinski hit 3-pointers and scored nine points for the Cardinals.


The two teams will meet again at the Sentry Classic at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Dec. 28 at 12:45 p.m.
