WISCONSIN RAPIDS LEGION BASEBALL EDGES ANTIGO TO IMPROVE TO 2-1 THIS SUMMER

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Caden Sengbusch had a pair of solo homers and Braden Lewis tossed a complete game to lead the Wisconsin Rapids Rangers Legion baseball team to a 3-2 win over Antigo on Monday at Witter Field.
Sengbush had home runs in the second and fourth innings, and Lewis delivered a sacrifice fly in the fifth to give Rapids a 3-1 lead.
Antigo countered with a run in the sixth, but couldn’t get any more as Lewis finished off the win, striking out two and giving up six hits.
Wisconsin Rapids improves to 2-1 this season and will host D.C. Everest on Friday at 7 p.m.
The Rangers lost to Wausau 5-4 on June 25 and defeated Merrill 5-1 on July 1 in their first two games of the season.
Sengbusch went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Cole Ladick was 2-for-3 in the loss to Wausau.
Sengbusch was also 2-for-4 and scored twice against Merrill. Jacob Wipfli added two hits and an RBI in the win. Tyler Beyer threw a complete game with nine strikeouts for Wisconsin Rapids.
