WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Avery Brise nailed six 3-pointers and scored 26 points to lead the Wisconsin Rapids girls basketball team to a 68-52 in over Merrill in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Thursday at Lincoln High School.
Wisconsin Rapids outscored Merrill by eight points in each half to pull through for the victory.
Chelsea King added 15 points and Megan Clary added 14 for the Raiders.
Wisconsin Rapids trails Wausau West by one game in the Wisconsin Valley Conference standings as it improves to 11-8 overall and 8-1 in the conference.
Merrill drops to 4-16 and 1-9 in the WVC.
Wisconsin Rapids hosts D.C. Everest on Tuesday.
