WAUTOMA – Wautoma plated two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and held on to defeat Mosinee 2-1 in a nonconference baseball game Thursday at Wautoma High School.
Mosinee took a 1-0 lead as Trevor Garski was hit by a pitch to lead off the third inning and came around to score when Drake Grod reached on a two-out error.
The score held until the bottom of the fifth when Logan Dunn singled, Hunter Netzler reached on an error and both Comets’ runs scored on another Mosinee error.
Mosinee managed one baserunner in both the sixth and seventh innings, but couldn’t get another run across.
