STEVENS POINT WINS FINAL LEG OF WVC GIRLS GOLF TOURNAMENT

WAUSAU – The Marshfield girls golf team finished up the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament series by placing fourth at the final leg at Crane Meadows Golf Course on Friday.


Stevens Point won the conference championship after finishing first at the meet with a 188, three shots better than Wisconsin Rapids and four ahead of Wausau East/West. Marshfield was fourth with a 198 and D.C. Everest last with a 205.


Lily Anaya and Raina Manlick each had 45s, Brielle Lenz shot a 53, Ellie Mechler had a 54 and McKenzie Holm a 55 for Marshfield.


Lenz and Anaya earned all-conference honorable mention honors by placing between 11th and 15th for the overall conference season.
