SPENCER/COLUMBUS WINS TWO TITLES, NEILLSVILLE/GREENWOOD/LOYAL THREE AT CLOVERBELT WRESTLING MEET

STANLEY – Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal won three individual titles and Spencer/Columbus Catholic earned a pair at the 2020 Cloverbelt Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at Stanley-Boyd High School.


Cadott won the team title with 264 points, followed by Stanley-Boyd/Owen-Withee with 186. Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal was third with 183.5 and Abbotsford/Colby took fourth with 134.5 points.


Senior Ashton Ackman earned his fourth-straight conference title and sophomore Treyton Ackman won his second in a row for Spencer/Columbus, which finished seventh in the team standings as it only has five varsity wrestlers.


Ashton Ackman improved to 31-3 this season with a 9-4 win over Jarick Young of Neillsville/Greenwood/Loyal in the 113-pound final.
