SPASH PANTHERS RIDE BIG SIXTH INNING TO CONFERENCE WIN OVER EVEREST

PLOVER, WI - The SPASH Panthers (8-2, 3-2) softball team notched its third Wisconsin Valley conference win with a 6-4 win over DC Everest (3-4, 2-3).
A double by Emma Raikowski drove in two and Kaitlyn Klismith, Maddy Miklesh, and Zoe Fink all knocked in runs for the big five-run sixth inning.
The 6-1 SPASH lead wasn't completely safe as Paige Kislow hit a two out three-run homer in the top of the seventh to close the gap 6-4. Everest would then load the bases before Fink, in relief of Maren Sauvageau, induced a ground ball to end the game with the two-run margin.
SPASH will play at Middleton on Monday, May 2nd. DC Everest hosts Wausau East on Monday at 4:30pm.
