ALMOND – Almond-Bancroft used a big second-half advantage to pull past Rosholt 59-42 in a Central Wisconsin Conference South Division boys basketball game Thursday night at Almond-Bancroft High School.


Almond-Bancroft led 24-21 at halftime before outscoring the Hornets by 14 in the second half to scratch out the win. The Eagles are now 12-5 overall and 6-1 in the CWC South, which is tied with Pacelli for first place in conference.


Eli Trzinski had 13 points, and Jake Lemke had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Rosholt, which drops to 6-7 and 2-4 in the CWC South.


Ayden Phillips led the Eagles with 23 points.


Almond-Bancroft hosts Port Edwards on Monday and Rosholt will be at home against Wild Rose on Tuesday in CWC South matchups.
