RHINELANDER DEFEATS PACELLI TO CLIAM GREAT NORTHERN CONFERENCE GIRLS TENNIS TITLE

STEVENS POINT – Rhinelander won all four singles matches and two of the three doubles matches in straight sets to defeat Stevens Point Pacelli 6-1 and claim the Great Northern Conference girls tennis regular-season championship.


Rhinelander finishes the GNC regular season with a 7-0 record after sending Pacelli (6-1) to its only conference defeat.


Pacelli’s lone win came at No. 1 singles where Marissa Stolt and Ella Schroeder defeated Taylor Riopel and Paige Olenik, 6-2, 6-1.


The Great Northern Conference Tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 25, at Antigo.
