NEKOOSA – The Pittsville volleyball team opened its 2019 season by going 0-3 at the Nekoosa Quadrangular on Tuesday.
Pittsville lost to Nekoosa 25-19, 25-12; Port Edwards 25-17, 18-25, 15-9; and Wisconisn Rapids Assumption 25-18, 25-12.
Cammie Reno had eight kills and Maddie Carpenter added seven for the Panthers, who were playing their first matches under new coach Rob “Buff” Heller.
Helen Durrant had a team-high 15 assists, Melissa Giles led the Pittsville defense with 17 digs, and Bekah Downs added 12 digs for the Panthers.
