ATHENS – Phillips outscored Athens by double figures in each half and defeated the Bluejays 81-50 in a Marawood Conference North Division girls basketball game Tuesday night at Athens High School.


Phillips (17-2 overall) pulled out to a 43-25 lead by halftime and were able to finish off the victory to remain undefeated in the Marawood North at 13-0, which has clinched the conference title.


Jazelle Hartwig and Sophia Coker had double-doubles for Athens, with Hartwig finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Colker added 12 points and 16 rebounds.


Addison Lavicka also scored 12 for the Bluejays (16-4, 9-4 Marawood North).


Athens hosts Auburndale in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday.
