PACELLI SOFTBALL SPLITS PAIR AT THORP INVITE

THORP, WI - The Pacelli Cardinals softball team split its games at the 2022 Gilman-Thorp Slamfest on Saturday afternoon. Pacelli was bested by Medford 4-0 and overcame Grantsburg 4-2 and moved its season record to 10-4.


In game one vs Medford, Kaylin Yenter had the lone hit of the game for the Cardinals. Martha Miller picked up the win for Medford with 11 strikeouts over seven innings with the one-hit shutout of Pacelli.


Game two saw the Pacelli bats heat up with seven hits, including a 3-4 performance from the plate by Sydney Gavin. Yenter had an RBI for the Cardinals and had two hits in the game. Hannah Trzinski was the winning pitcher throwing seven complete innings and striking out two.


Pacelli heads back to conference action next week with a Monday road game at Pittsville and then hosts first place Almond-Bancroft on Tuesday. The Tuesday tilt will be broadcast live at zaleskisports.com with pregame at 4:20pm and first pitch scheduled for 4:30pm.
