MOSINEE BOYS HOCKEY ROCKS RHINELANDER TO REACH GNC TITLE GAME

RHINELANDER – Daniel Gildain had a hat trick, and Ondrej Napravnik had a goal and four assists to lead the Mosinee boys hockey team to an 8-2 win over Rhinelander in a Great Northern Conference tournament game Tuesday.
Following a scoreless first period, Mosinee exploded for five goals in the second, two each from Gildain and Carter Daul, to take control.
Mosinee (14-9, 7-2 GNC) moves into the conference championship game at Lakeland on Saturday at the Lakeland Hawks Ice Arena in Minocqua. The game begins at 7 p.m. Mosinee won the previous matchup back on Jan. 4, 4-3.
