MARATHON – Kyle Hollenbeck allowed one run through six innings to lead Marathon in a 7-1 win over Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Monday at Marathon High School.
Marathon scored in four of its six at-bats to improve to 5-3 overall and 3-2 in the Marawood South.
Tarren Hoffman had an RBI for the Royals’ only run in the fourth inning. Joey Moyer had two of Assumption’s four hits. Assumption is now 1-6 overall and 0-6 in the Marawood South.
Hector Pintor had three hits and two RBI for Marathon.
The two teams play again at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday at 4:45 p.m.
