LOYAL GIRLS BASKETBALL DOMINATES NEW AUBURN IN WIAA DIVISION 5 REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL

LOYAL – The Loyal girls basketball team made quick work of New Auburn, cruising out to a 28-point lead by halftime and rolling to a 74-28 win in a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday night at Loyal High School.
The Greyhounds led 47-19 at halftime and held New Auburn (8-15) to nine points in the second half to advance in the WIAA playoffs.
Third-seeded Loyal (19-4) will host No. 6 seed Eau Claire Immanual Lutheran (14-7) in a regional semifinal Friday at 7 p.m.
Remi Geiger made four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 24 points, and Katlyn Lindner drilled three 3-pointers and finished with 12 points for the Greyhounds. Savannah Schley added 15 points and Natasha Tellock scored 13 as well for Loyal in the win.
