GREENWOOD FOOTBALL WINS FOURTH STRAIGHT

SPORTSDESK - The Greenwood football team collected its fourth consecutive win Thursday night, blowing out McDonell on the road by a score of 48-6.


Sully Whitford had three rushing touchdowns (36, 34, 11) for Greenwood. Cooper Bredulau had a pair of rushing touchdowns (49, 42) and connected with Westen Schmitz on a 29 yard passing touchdown. Xander Hinker rounded out the scoring with a 46 yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter. The lone score for McDonell came in the second quarter on a two yard touchdown run by T. Opsal.


Greenwood was led defensively by Cooper Bredlau with 10 tackles and an interception. Schmitz had three tackles and one interception. Rogan Travis (2) and Austin Ruff (1) tallied Greenwood's three sacks on the night.
