EDGAR'S MAKENNA GUDEN NEARS SCHOOL SCORING RECORD

ZALESKI SPORTS - Edgar's Makenna Guden is nearing the school scoring record in girls basketball at Edgar High School. The current mark, held by Holly (Denfeld) Nowak, stands at 1,258. Guden begins tonight at home vs Marathon with 1,235 career points, 23 points shy of drawing even with Nowak.

Guden reached the 1,000 point career milestone in a playoff win on February 25th, 2020 at home vs Tri-County. This season, Guden has been averaging 18.6 points per game with a season high of 27 points both vs Prentice (12/14/20) and Lourdes Academy (12/31/20).

Both tonight's game vs Marathon and Friday's game at Athens can be watched live at Zaleski Sports, both start times 7:15pm.

Guden is also 40 points from eclipsing the all-time basketball scoring mark of any kind at Edgar. Larry Brown holds the current record at 1,275.
