EDGAR – The Edgar girls basketball team snapped Athens’ three-game winning streak with a 58-39 win in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday at Edgar High School.
Jazelle Hartwig had 18 points, and Sophie Coker added 11 points and 14 rebounds for Athens, which falls to 10-2 overall and 5-2 in the Marwood North.
Edgar, which improves to 9-4 overall and 5-3 in the Marawood South, has won four games in a row.

Athens will host Wabeno/Laona in a nonconference game Monday at 6 p.m.
