EDGAR, AMHERST, COLBY EACH WIN TWO EVENTS AT WAUSAU WEST BOYS TRACK INDOOR MEET

WAUSAU – Edgar, Amherst and Colby each won a pair of events competing at the Wausau West Boys Small School Indoor Track Meet on Tuesday at West High School.
Wausau West won the team title with 147 points, with Edgar second with 95, Amherst fifth with 63, Colby eighth with 47.5, Assumption ninth with 14, and Loyal 11th with 10 points.
Kohlbe Weiseneberger won the 200 meters in 25.67 seconds, just 0.03 of a second ahead of Caden Healy of Colby, and teamed with Karter Butt, Ayden Weisenberger and Everet Brehm to take first in the 1,000-meter mixed relay in 2:26.74 for Edgar’s two wins.
Healy went on to win the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 11 inches, and Derek Jeske took first in the shot put with a throw of 42-6.5 for Colby.
Amherst’s wins came from the 4x150 relay team of Jacob Derezinski, Ethan Zilisch, Cole Oleson and Drew Lewallen in 1:15.24, and Max Voss in the 1,600 in 5:08.00.
