COLUMBUS CATHOLIC, MOSINEE EARN FOUR ALL-STATE VOLLEYBALL SELECTIONS

The Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association announced its 2021 All-State Girls Volleyball Teams with seven area players earning honors.


Ten players were named to the first team and second team for Divisions 1 and 2, and 10 players were named to the first team in Divisions 3 and 4.


Columbus Catholic senior Dorci Walker was a unanimous first-team pick on the Division 4 team after winning her second-straight Cloverbelt Conference East Division Player of the Year honor and leading the Dons to the conference championship and a berth in the WIAA Division 4 sectional final.


Pacelli Catholic senior Kylie Struble was also a unanimous first-team pick in Division 4. Struble finished her high school career in 2021 as Central Wisconsin Conference Player of the Year at the libero position. Struble was also named to the 2020 all-state team as voted on by the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association.

Columbus Catholic sophomore Courtney Sommer was an honorable mention selection on the Division 4 team.


Mosinee senior Abbi Martin was a first-team selection and senior Claire Selenske was an honorable mention selection on the Division 2 team after helping the Indians to a Great Northern Conference title and a berth in the WIAA sectionals.


Iola-Scandinavia junior Jaelyn Sivertson was an honorable mention choice on the Division 3 team, and Edgar junior Reagan Borchardt earned honorable mention status on the Division 4 team.
