BLOOMER PROVES TOO MUCH FOR COLUMBUS CATHOLIC BASEBALL

MARSHFIELD – Three Bloomer pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout and the Blackhawks had a 16-run sixth inning to blast Marshfield Columbus Catholic 23-0 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Jack Hackman Field.


Bloomer led 7-0 before exploding for the huge sixth and finished off the game via the 10-run rule.


Seven Columbus Catholic pitchers walked a combined 19 batters, and Bloomer had 16 hits.


Columbus Catholic (15-3) wraps up its regular-season schedule at Stratford on Thursday.
