AMHERST BASEBALL WINS CONFERENCE FINALE OVER BONDUEL

AMHERST – The Amherst baseball team put the finishing touches on a Central Wisconsin Conference East Division championship season with a 5-1 win over Bonduel in its conference finale Monday at Amherst High School.


Ben Lee struck out 12 and walked two in 5 2/3 innings of work to earn the win for the Falcons. Lee allowed his first earned run of the season, but nothing else, and gave up just two hits in the victory.


Landon Moe had two hits and an RBI, and Matt Glodowski and Lars Evensen drove in a pair of runs for Amherest (16-5, 11-1 CWC East).


Amherst finishes its regular-season schedule with a nonconference home game against Nekoosa at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
