WESTFIELD - The Amherst Falcons baseball team landed a left hook in the seventh inning, scoring 11 times and knocked out the Westfield Pioneers 23-4 in a nonconference game Tuesday.
Amherst moves to 6-0 on the season and Westfield falls to 3-3.
Matt Glodowski, Jake Hoffman, and Landon Moe all had doubles for the Falcons in the game. Hoffman lead the way with five RBI and Jarrett Lucht added three RBI.
Tyler Solesby struck out four and picked up the win in 3 1/3 innings of work for Amherst.
Amherst will face Iola-Scandinavia at home on Thursday with first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on Zaleski Sports.
