ABBY/COLBY'S HALOPKA WINS TITLE, SC'S ACKMAN FINISHES SECOND AT ST. CROIX FALLS WRESTLING INVITE

ST. CROIX FALLS – Abbotsford/Colby’s Tanner Halopka won a title and Spencer/Columbus’ Treyton Ackman finished second at the St. Croix Falls Wrestling Invitational on Saturday.
Abbotsford/Colby finished 12th with 61 points and Spencer/Columbus was 18th among the 22 teams with 23 points. Amery won the team title with 209.5 points.
Halopka improved to 37-1 this season after defeating Evan Wolfe of West Salem/Bangor 7-1 to capture the 145-pound title.
Ackman suffered his first loss of the season, losing to Ian Raintz of Glenwood City 7-3 in the 120-pound championship match. Both wrestlers are now 25-1 this season.
Carter Grewe earned a second-place finish for Abby/Colby. Grewe (36-2) lost the 195-pound championship match to Kale Hopke of Amery by pin.
