ABBOTSFORD GIRLS BASKETBALL POUNDS CHEQUAMEGON IN SEASON OPENER

PARK FALLS – Ten different players scored for Abbotsford in a 70-19 rout of Chequamegon in the Marawood Conference North Division girls basketball season opener for both teams on Thursday at Chequamegon High School.


Briseida Escalara had 13 points, and Cailey Ruesch and Bridgett Pogodzinski each added 12 for the Falcons, who were playing their 2020-21 season opener. Ruesch added 13 rebounds and Pogdzinski had eight rebounds and four assists in the win.


Abbotsford will host Colby for a nonconference game on Monday.
