SPORTSDESK - The first round of the 2020 NFL Draft is complete with 32 players being picked in just over three hours. This year's draft was done virtually from over 100 locations around the country and one overseas military base as fears of Covid-19 run rampant.

Trades were the story of the second half of the round with three trades occurring during the final nine picks. Coming into the night, the Green Bay Packers were thought to be in a prime trade spot at pick 30.

Conventional wisdom had the Packers trading down into the second round with a trade partner looking to make a quick move back into the bottom end of the first round. The Packers had other ideas of their first round plans and pulled a surprise draft trade, moving up three spots to number 27 and drafting Utah State QB, Jordan Love. Trading up is one sign that a team covets a certain player and doing so for a quarterback almost always portends a desire to make a change at the position sooner rather than later. We'll let Packers fans speculate on how many days current quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, has left in green and gold.

Three quarterbacks were taken in the first six picks and six wide receivers were drafted to highlight the first round.
