MOSINEE BOYS BASKETBALL HOLDS OFF PREBLE TO WIN TOURNAMENT TITLE

GREEN BAY – The Mosinee boys basketball team held off Green Bay Preble in the second half to earn a 75-69 win in the championship game of the Preble Invitational on Thursday.


Mosinee led 41-39 at halftime and was able to pull out the win with eight free throws in the second half. The Indians are now 7-1 this season.


Davin Stoffel scored 27 points and Drake Grod added 16 for Mosinee, which made seven 3-pointers. Grod had four long balls in the win.


Mosinee hosts Northland Pines in a Great Northern Conference game Tuesday.
