GREENWOOD/LOYAL SOFTBALL REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN CLOVERBELT EAST WITH SHUT OUT OF SPENCER

GREENWOOD – Greenwood/Loyal scored 10 times in the second inning and went on to shutout Spencer 15-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball game Friday.


The Greenhounds scored three times in the first and added 10 in the second and two in the fourth, ending the game via the 15-run rule after three innings.


Gracie North had three hits and four RBIs, Kayla Bremmer had a pair of singles, scored three times and added three RBIs, and Kaitlyn Lindner had two hits, two RBIs and scored four times to lead the way for Greenwood/Loyal.


G/L remains undefeated in the Cloverbelt East, improving to 6-0 (8-4 overall). Spencer falls to 1-11 and 1-6 in conference play.


Elexa Post had two of Spencer’s four hits, including a double.


Greenwood/Loyal hosts Blair-Taylor for a nonconference doubleheader on Saturday. Spencer is off until Tuesday when it plays at Colby/Abbotsford.
