STEVENS POINT – Stevens Point Pacelli lost the first set before rallying to win the next three and went on to defeat Rosholt 3-1 in its Central Wisconsin Conference South Division volleyball opener Tuesday at Pacelli High School.

The Cardinals won 20-25, 25-14, 25-19, 25-17.

Pacelli statistics were not provided.

Sarah Trzinski and Lindsey Krueger each had nine kills, Natalie Rink had 13 digs, and Gracie Casper had 26 assists for Rosholt, which falls to 0-2 in the CWC South.

Pacelli, along with Wisconsin Rapids Assumption, will play a triangular meet at Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Thursday. Both teams return to CWC South action Sept. 21 as Rosholt hosts Almond-Bancorft and Pacelli will be at Tri-County.
