MERRILL'S LOSEE SIGNS WITH MSUM TO PLAY SOFTBALL
SPORTSDESK - Merrill High School senior Hannah Losee signed her letter of intent with Minnesota State University-Moorehead on Wednesday night. Losee will join the MSUM Dragons softball team of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, coached by Amanda Reckamp, in the 2022 season.
Losee was one of five signees with MSUM on Wednesday night; Emma Abbott (Queen Creek, AZ), Ella Holiman (Centralia, MO), Eliyah McCarthy (Columbia, MO), and Annika Norman (Geneva, IL).
During Losee's sophomore season at Merrill (2019) she had a batting average of .400 with three home runs, had 22 RBI, and was named as a Wisconsin Valley Conference honorable mention. Losee is the all-time home run leader for the summer travel team, CW Edge.
"Hannah is a player we feel can step into a number of roles depending on the needs of our team, said Reckamp. "Hannah can play in the infield and the outfield which will add to our depth for Team 48. Hannah's enthusiasm to be a Dragon only adds to our excitement that she will be in a Dragon uniform soon."
