BLUEJAYS SOFTBALL SINKS BUCCANEERS IN SHORTENED GAME

ATHENS - The Athens Bluejays softball team dominated the Prentice Buccaneers on Monday with a 15-0 three-inning affair. WIAA rules state a game is called after three innings with score margin of 15 or more.
In the game, Sierra Hart threw hurled a no-hit effort from the circle while striking out seven and walking two.
Jazelle Hartwig tripled with two outs in the first inning to start the Bluejays scoring, batting in C Harding and Elle Gauerke. Athens plated eight total runs in the first then added three in the second and four in the third to complete the win.
Athens plays Prentice again on Tuesday in Athens with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
