STEVENS POINT GIRLS BASKETBALL DRILLS 11 3-POINTERS IN WIN AT WAUSAU EAST

WAUSAU – The Stevens Point girls basketball team used the long ball to take care of Wausau East 65-44 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Monday night at East High School.
The Panthers made 11 3-pointers, three each by Kendra Czerneski and Adaleah Nest, in the victory.
Brittany Beadles led Stevens Point with 13 points, Emma Jossie added 12 points and nine rebounds, and Avery Lilly also scored 12 for the Panthers. Czerneski and Nest each had nine points.
SPASH is now 7-12 overall and 4-4 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.
“We had a lot of players step up and hit shots tonight. It was great to see,” Stevens Point coach Kraig Terpstra said. “We are playing our best basketball of the season right now.”
Both teams return to action Thursday. SPASH hosts D.C. Everest and Wausau East travels to Marshfield for WVC games. The East-Marshfield game will be live-streamed at zaleskisports.com.
