SPASH SOFTBALL

STEVENS POINT, WI - The SPASH Panthers softball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 9-4 win over the Kimberly Papermakers. The Panthers scored four runs in the first inning and two more in the third before trading three runs after to outpace the 'Makers.


Maddy Miklesh highlighted the day for SPASH with a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning, scoring Emma Raikowski and Riley Pechinski. Kaitlyn Klismith had two hits including a fifth inning two RBI double to put the final two runs on the board for the Panthers.


Maren Sauvageau and Delilah Abundiz combined for seven innings of work in the circle and six strikeouts.
