ROSHOLT GIRLS BASKETBALL WINS AT PORT EDWARDS, EARNS FIRST CWC SOUTH VICTORY

PORT EDWARDS – Sarah Trzinski scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Rosholt girls basketball team to a 58-31 win over Port Edwards, earning the Hornets their first Central Wisconsin Conference South Division victory of the season.


Rosholt improves to 2-9 overall and 1-4 in the CWC South, while Port Edwards drops to 1-9 and 0-4 in the conference.


Taylor Martin had 22 points for the Blackhawks, which were outscored by double digits in each half.


Rosholt hosts Wausau Newman Catholic for a nonconference game Monday. Port Edwards returns to action Tuesday with a CWC South game at Tri-County.
