MEDFORD – Stevens Point Pacelli busted open a scoreless game with four goals in the second period and went on to shutout Medford 5-0 in boys hockey action Tuesday at the Simek Rec Center.
Drew Bandy, Mason Zielinski, Eli Robinson and Sawyer Olds scored goals in a span of 8:50 to grab control for the Cardinals, who improve to 3-2 this season.
Bandy added another goal 30 seconds into the third period to finish off the win.
Carter Herheim saved all 21 shots that came his way to earn the shutout in goal for Pacelli.
Pacelli will enjoy some time off before playing Muskego and Menomonie in the Menomonie Holiday Tournament on Dec. 28-29.
