OWEN-WITHEE GIRLS BASKETBALL PULLS AWAY IN SECOND HALF TO DEFEAT GRANTON

OWEN – Owen-Withee held Granton to seven made baskets and pulled away in the second half to defeat the Bulldogs in their season opener 42-20 on Friday night at Owen-Withee High School.


The Blackhawks (1-1 overall, 1-0 Cloverbelt Conference East Division) led just 12-8 at halftime before pulling away in the second half.


Sam Martin had seven points to lead Granton.


Both teams return to Cloverbelt East action Tuesday with Owen-Withee hosting Neillsville and Granton playing at home against Spencer.
