MOSINEE BOYS HOCKEY DOMINATES PACELLI TO WIN DIVISION 2 REGIONAL FINAL

MOSINEE – Carter Daul, A.J. Buenning and Caden Schmirler each scored twice to lead the Mosinee boys hockey team to a dominating 9-2 win over Stevens Point Pacelli in a WIAA Division 2 regional final Thursday at the Mosinee Rec Center.
Ondrej Napravnik added a goal and four assists for the Indians, who scored three times in each period.
Mason Zelinski scored just eight seconds into the game to give Pacelli (9-9) a quick 1-0 lead before Mosinee ripped off eight-straight goals to take command.
The No. 3 seed Mosinee (15-9) will travel to Great Northern Conference rival Rhinelander (17-6), the No. 2 seed, for a sectional semifinal on Tuesday. Rhinelander defeated Tomahawk 5-4 on Thursday.
