MARSHFIELD VOLLEYBALL HOLDS OFF WISCONSIN RAPIDS IN 2020 OPENER

MARSHFIELD – The long-awaited season opener for the Marshfield volleyball team was a good one as the Tigers defeated Wisconsin Rapids 3-1 on Saturday at Marshfield High School.

Marshfield won 25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 25-20.

Casey Frankland had 10 kills, 19 digs and four service aces, Brooklyn Boushack also had 10 kills, Elise Uphoff had a team-high 20 digs, and Taylor Barwick had 30 assists for the Tigers.

Wisconsin Rapids statistics were not provided.

Marshfield hosts Merrill and Wisconsin Rapids will play its home opener against D.C. Everest, both on Tuesday.
