LOYAL/GREENWOOD SOFTBALL ROLLS OVER REGIS

CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI - The Loyal/Greenwood Greenhounds softball team improved its record to 2-1 with a 14-4 five-inning blowout over the Regis Ramblers on Monday night. The Greenhounds were the home team in Chippewa after its home field was deemed unplayable due to wet conditions.
A nine-run third inning saw nine walks issued to Greenhounds batters and just two hits, RBI singles by Zaida Brock and Mesa Rasumssen. Brock also led the team with three total runs batted in. Loyal/Greenwood walked 13 times in the game including three free passes earned by Emma Schlough and Tysen Lindner.
Schlough picked up the win in the circle for Loyal/Greenwood, pitching five complete with six strikeouts, giving up four hits and three earned runs.
Izzy Skwierczymski led Regis from the plate with three hits and two runs batted in.
